Yes. It was actually a first for the BBC - both as the first coronation broadcast and the first outside broadcast. The original event happened in 1937 but is available to view online.

George VI's coronation was the first coronation to be broadcast on television. His coronation was broadcast on the BBC on May 12, 1937 as the conclusion of the presentation The Coronation of King George VI.

He was in many films and T.V. Series / Shows actually. A few that come to mind was a series called "Reclaiming Grace Land" which was a situational comedy featuring Frank Lawson, a "Wonder" actor who was only in that single series before his career took a turn for the worst. He also appeared as an extra in some films.
