Many countries with poverty are popular for illegal human organs for sale. Sorry to say that there are loop holes to make it possible, sometimes donors marry the recipients. It is safe to say that jail time and fines are common penalties.

The laws for this vary greatly from place to place, but it would have very serious consequences anywhere in the United States. Depending on the source of the organs, you could even be considered a murderer. Federal charges would likely be brought, as well, and a judge would be likely to assess a severe sentence for this crime.
