A lot of people seem to think that blood is blue inside our body, and only turns red when it exits and hits air. This is not true. Blood is red when it is inside our body circulating, even though blood vessels on our skin look blue. Blood carries oxygen, which debunks "blue blood hitting oxygen and turning red" theory.

Blood in the body is always red due to the hemoglobin in it. When blood has less oxygen in it, the color may appear maroon-red.

That depends on whether or not it is oxygenated. Blue if it is and red if it is not oxygenated.
