An over the counter anti-fungal cream will work. It will need to contain either miconazole or clotrimazole. Make sure to wash bed linens daily while infected.

Ringworm is a fungal infection, so you can use most over the counter medicines known to treat jock itch. Those would be medicines like Lamisil, Desenex, Nizoral. These come in a cream or spray and usually require a two week treatment to be effective. There are also prescription pill versions of these medicines for severe or resistant cases.

Ringworm can be treated by anti-fungals such as over the counter baza anti-fungal cream, naftin, lotrimin, monistat-dem. It can also be treated with anti-fungal tablets such as Fulvicin, Grifulvin, Sporanox, and Gris-PEG these are the ones usually given to people with fungus under nails and given in three month courses.
