the best way to carry such a tv would be in the box you bought it. If you do not have the exact box,then you must find a different one and put something around the tv so it can fit very well. Also when you fit the tv into the box you must not apply any preassure on the screen.

The safest way is to get other people to do it. Alternatively wrap it in bubble wrap, cover it in cardboard, mark it fragile and have it lying down flat, with the screen facing upwards and a 'this way up' marked on it so others know how to place it.

You should wrap it in multiple layers of bubble wrap or similar material. It is a good idea to use the box it came in if possible.
