Adolf Hitler was born in Auastria on 20th April, 1889, to Alois Hitler, who became a senior customs official and Klara his third wife. Alois was over twenty years older than Klara and already had two children from his previous marriages. Klara and Alois had five children but only Adolf and a younger sister, Paula, survived to adulthood.

Alois Hitler was Adolph Hitler's father, and Alois went by his mother's surname Schicklgruber for the first thirty nine years of his life. Adolph Hitler's mother's name was Klara Hitler.
