You may have a disease known as ITP, or Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura. This causes you to have fewer blood platelets than an average person, making you more susceptible to bruising. It is also possible that you are leading a high-risk lifestyle.

Easy bruising is a symptom associated with cells in your bloods called platelets. There are several inherited and acquired disorders that can either reduce the number or impact the function of these cells. Easy bruising is also associated with anemia or a low red blood cell count. Anemia has many causes many of which are dietary in origin.

There are some medications that cause people to bruise more easily. If you're not on any medication, then you might consider that you have an underlying health condition such as hemophilia that causes easy bruising.
